Pauntley Prints

Between 2005 and 2006 I produced a number of Francis Smitheman prints for Royal Mint Classics. A distinguished marine artist, S. Francis Smitheman has shown works in London and the provinces, in France, Norway, Sweden and the USA. He has works in many private and company collections, on board ships and in museums.

The prints were derived from my scans of his original works where they were still available, and from professional photographs of those works now dispersed in collections worldwide and hence unavailable in their original form.

Mostly the works were reproduced as limited edition prints on fine art paper, but we also made some canvas prints which were signed and numbered in oils by the artist.

These prints are no longer available from the Royal Mint, but other sources are accessible via the artist's own web site, well worth a visit to see more of his atmospheric and meticulously researched paintings.
